First half of the year has come to an end and I'm so grateful for the lessons that I have been able to learn and the ones I unlearn.
Apart of the things I unlearn in this first half of the year is that allowing the people's opinions control my decisions. I am someone that always worry about what people will say if I decided to do this or if I decided to do that, will people like it, or will be criticized , I held back many times thinking I won't be approved of but during this half of the year I came to realize more that there isn't ending to this lifestyle I find myself, people can never be satisfied.
No matter how perfect you appear to be, people that will condemn and criticize will surely do. Living according to people's opinions will never allow you attain the right way you should have grown to be ,you won't grow according to who you are.
I now take consistency seriously especially about my works and focus on steady growth instead of doubting myself, comparing myself to someone else. I have learn to live with this criticism as long as I believe I'm doing the right thing. The criticism will push me to improve myself and not compare. Knowing my my purpose and abilities boosted my confidence,I no longer need to seek approval about my choice, I don't always have to explain myself before taking the next steps. Just like the sermon preached today ,that we should always go before God to guide us before taking any decisions. I have learnt to ask God for directions rather than seeking people's opinions because only HIM is perfect in all his ways.
Now, I am enjoying the version of me I am becoming, I'm more grow in in confidence and relieve myself from the panic and stress of people's opinions. It's the best part of what I have unlearn in this first half of the year .
