I just came to the realization that I have been fooled many times. Not because I didn't know better but who dares stand to confront these people? Those who fool me. Even when you attempt to speak, they'll look for a way to floor you. They always did and right after that, you'll be met with the rod and staff which instead of comforting you, will, destroy your bum.
Before you say 'its our parents', it's not.
Just read on.
Okay, so i found out recently that the corporate lingua of "the end justifies the means" is "efficiency trumps methodology"
Phew!
Read that again, slowly.
How do I explain to my maths and introductory technology teacher?.
Many times, I had arrived at the answer to a question but have been marked wrong because I didn't get the solving. Take a look at those sayings, should I be marked wrong?
Even Bible English says that "wisdom is justified of her children(fruits). Mattew 11:19. It did not say germination or weeding or harvesting. Nothing about the process.
On the streets of Nigeria, my country, it is said that, "no be by who go school get first class, na by who sabi the work(it's not by going to school and getting the formal education but by knowing the work thoroughly)".... You Gerrit!?
Without telling, we know this. Or don't you? Okay, you who is a computer engineering student, are you more versed in the trade than the roadside artisan? Don't tell me. We know what it is. No shades tho!
Maybe I should go back and tell them all that, they have coconut heads.
Because, these same people(teachers) who believe in the process involved in getting the answer are the very ones who set objective questions that do not require that I show them the working.
How then do they know I got the working correctly when they never get to see it but give me grades by my answer? You see? Confused lots!
It's the exact same way they tell us that opportunity comes but once. Big fat lie. Do you know the number of times I have had the opportunity to help my mother rearrange the positions of the proteins in her soup and stew?
Too many things have come second and third times and will still be readily available. But imagine that I go to an elderly person to debate it.
Okay. Don't imagine it. It'll be horrendous..I can imagine this elder looking me from up to down, shaking their head and going, "whatever an adult sees sitting down blah blah blah.
No one would give you an ear. Although deep down they know the truth. I'm just sick of all the many twists.
Sir/Ma, please forget the eldership and proverb and the likes that you want to use to confuse me, and Just tell me, I get am abi I no get am??
Don't stress my head, pliz!
Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
