When we were staying in Mandaluyong City, we looked for a famous restaurant for our dinner. We wanted to try something good while we were away from home. Lucky for us, the R&J Bulalohan was just a few minutes' walk away from the apartment we were staying in. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the restaurant.
As soon as we got inside, there were a lot of people eating, and we were glad we found an empty table. We sat down and waited for the staff to hand over the menu, but we already had something in mind - to try their famous Bulalo. We have decided to order their Special Bulalo and add some Pancit Guisado as our appetizer. After we got our orders, the staff went straight to the counter to prepare our food.
It took them 20 minutes to cook and prepare our food before they served it. Maybe because there are a lot of customers eating their dinner here. Our hunger grew even more when we saw the Bulalo and Pancit being served. The aroma and appearance do not lie; they were truly appetizing.
Like what I mentioned, we ordered a Special Bulalo and Pancit Guisado. And just by looking at them, we knew we made the right choice. We got excited to try them, but I needed to take pictures first.
We requested some extra rice and soup before we started eating. We were all quietly enjoying the food, with just a few comments every other bite. My friend said it was a good decision to eat here the moment he tasted the Bulalo. Then, he tried the Pancit and loved it even more. We just continued eating and talking about random topics too. I think it was a 2-hour-long eating and conversation for the three of us.
After eating, we noticed we had not finished everything on the plate. I asked the staff if he could pack up our leftovers for take-out, and he said yes. Actually, we did not finish eating the Pansit and decided to take it out for our breakfast the next day.
Of course, we did not forget to take a groufie while we were in the restaurant. We paid the bill with a smile despite the high price because the food did not disappoint. We will definitely go back here and try their other menus sometime, and hopefully we can bring other friends here too.
