I took on a challenge and enrolled in Bookkeeping (National Certificate Level III) under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Then, the assessment came after months of training and waiting. I prayed hard to pass since we only have two chances here, and I did. But what I did not expect was to be the top scorer among those who took the assessment. For me, it was a huge success that deserves a celebration.
We did not want a grand celebration for this achievement, so my partner and I decided to have dinner at Samgyup King in Castillejos. We live in San Antonio, so we needed to travel for a few minutes to get here. When we got to the restaurant, there were already people dining inside. Lucky for us, there was a vacant table for two.
One of the staff members came over to offer us their menu. Of course, I was the one in charge of checking it out and ordering. After ordering, we were told that we could now go to the buffet area to get the meat, side dishes, rice, and drinks. Then, they will be just serving the sauce, cheese, and the utensils.
I love how they organized everything. There is a designated area for the meat, as well as the side dishes and lettuce. At the corner, you can see a freezer with cold drinks available inside.
There are also serving spoons in each tray. The staff have set up our grilling pan, plates, chopsticks, and other utensils that we will be using for the entire dining. My partner started setting up our table, as I checked out the buffet area. I wanted to see how many side dishes are available and the different flavors of meat.
I have decided to go to our table to ask my partner what he wants for the side dishes, and I saw him heating the pan before we started grilling some meat. It's a sign that it's time for me to get a plate of meat. I went to the buffet area and started getting some marinated and plain pork for my partner to grill.
After getting some pork, my partner started grilling on our table, and I went back to get some side dishes. My partner told me that he wants fish cake and kimchi. I got them first, then I checked the other trays for more options. They have some cucumber, tofu, potato marbles, and japchae. I got just small portions of each, then I grabbed some lettuce as well.
I went back to our table after getting the side dishes, feeling excited to eat. My partner was busy grilling the meat, and the aroma was making me drool. While cooking, we also started eating and talking about random topics. It was me telling stories about my day at work and my rants.
Whenever we ask for some sauce and cheese, the staff are always available and ready to serve. We are very satisfied with the service they gave, and they are very approachable. It made our dining experience better.
While enjoying the grilling and eating moment, I asked my partner for a photo for my blog content. And for our overall experience, it was a good restaurant to go to for a celebration or a simple dinner out. The side dishes taste good, as well as the meat. It was a great experience for my partner and me!
