@macchiata suggested that I post an Introduction that would include information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want produce, and what are your expectations in this platform.
First, I'm Dave and I live in the Houston, Texas area, which is noted for our 4-T's: temperature, traffic, taxes, and tropical storms. I'm a corporate vagabond, having lived in FL, OK, DE, GA, WV, OH, IN, and NY. I discovered Hive courtesy my son, @mice-k , who is an expert in almost all things cyber (thank you
@mice-k !).
I formed the Blog because I spend a lot of time (probably too much time) in SimCity Buildit, and thought this might be a good way to communicate with the Club members (SimCity would be a better game if a Club could have a bulletin board). Also, it is a way I can share strategy, especially for newer players in SimCity (and not just my Club). My plan is to post helpful hints and strategies (and screen shots) as we go through time. The platform so far is really good for this purpose - I just have to figure out how to get the screen shots off my Android tablet!
I do have other interests. I'm a published author in the field of decision and risk analysis. My wife and I also own and operate a niche publishing company, so publishing is another interest of mine. In fact, I could start a blog on how to publish books if anybody is interested.
I'm also a musician - I play piano, Hammond B3, bass, and rhythm guitar. My expertise is highest relative to the B3, of which I have the good fortune to own two. I play most Sunday mornings with a really good Contemporary Christian Praise Band, which is really fun. I either play the B3, the bass, or the piano. I also have my own cover band, and we play a few gigs every year. I use a Nord for the gigs, so I don't have to move the B3.
If you've gotten this far, thank you for reading!
