The Bitcoin markets took a slide on Sunday evening, about an hour after the CME Group launched the company’s futures markets. Even though the beginning of the derivatives sessions was quite bullish, with contracts selling above the $20K mark, Bitcoin’s markets dipped to a low of $17,925 a few hours after.
At the time of writing, the Bitcoin price is sitting at $18,825, representing a loss of 1% in the last 24 hours. More than $2B worth of BTC were exchanged in the BTC/USD market representing a 36.6% share of daily volume, second to the BTC/JPY that represents a 37.2% share.
Bitcoin is down 1% at $18,825.190 with a volume of Ƀ105.0k - $1968.9M on the USD pairs.
Ether is up 18.66% against Bitcoin at Ƀ0.04483 per Ether and up 17.76% against the dollar to $842.82 with average volume Ƀ55.7k on the ETH/BTC pair.
Bitcoin Cash is up 27.57% to Ƀ0.1236 with volumes of Ƀ52.2k and up 26.32% against the dollar at $2302.79.
Zcash is up 14.8% for the day to Ƀ0.03172 per ZEC and up 13.27% against the dollar to $592.39 with an average volume of Ƀ6.4k for the 24 hour period.
Litecoin is up 13.91% against the dollar for the day at $360.09 and up 14.94% to Ƀ0.01908 on volumes of Ƀ36.0k.
Dash is up 13.22% at Ƀ0.06414 with Ƀ8.7k volume and up 12.55% against the dollar at $1200.04.
Iota is up 10.89% to Ƀ0.000226 on Ƀ8.3k volume.
Ether Classic is up 19.12% to Ƀ0.002174 with volumes of Ƀ13.8k and up 18.37% against the dollar at $40.78.
