Greetings fellow street art lovers! This week I come to share a mural that is freshly made and fortunately I was able to capture some images of its making process and the artist in action. This mural is located in the city of Táriba, in the state of Táchira in Venezuela. Join me for a tour.

¡Saludos amigos amantes del arte de calle! Esta semana vengo a compartir un mural que está recién hecho y afortunadamente pude capturar algunas imágenes de su proceso de elaboración y al artista en acción. Este mural se encuentra en la ciudad de Táriba, en el estado Táchira de Venezuela. Acompáñenme a dsr un recorrido.

In last week's post, I commented that I had captured an artist painting a Holy Week mural in my city. Last week's post.

On one side of the street they had all the materials to work with: different colored oil-based paints, brushes, paintbrushes, thinners, water, cans of spray paint. And on a metal scaffolding the painter climbed up to paint the upper part of the wall.

De un lado de la calle tenían todo el material de trabajo: pinturas de diferentes colores a vase de aceite, pinceles, brochas, diluyentes, agua, latas de pintura en aerosol. Y en un andamio de metal el pintor se subía para pintar la parte superior de la pared.

The mural is about the Stations of the Cross. I really liked the design of the artist who segmented the wall and painted the background in different colors to differentiate each illustration. He then painted each drawing of Jesus with the cross in white, and finally, gave it shadows and black borders.

El mural se trata sobre las estaciones del viacrucis. Me gustó mucho el diseño del artista que segmentó la pared y pintó el fondo de colores diferentes para diferenciar cada ilustración. Luego pintó de blanco cada dibujo de Jesús con la cruz, para finalmente, darle sombras y bordes de color negro.

It took him 15 days to do his work. When he finished it was just in time for the processions and activities of the catholic church. As I have told you in other opportunities my city is very traditional and its religion is above all, that is why most of the murals we find are religious. In fact, this mural has the phrase "Táriba pueblo de fé " on the back, highlighting the Christian faith of my people.

Tardó 15 días haciendo su obra. Cuando terminó era justo a tiempo para las procesiones y actividades de la iglesia de católica. Como les he comentado en otras oportunidades mi ciudad es muy tradicional y su religión esta por encima de todo, por esto la mayoría de los murales que encontramos son religiosos. De hecho, este mural tiene la frase "Táriba pueblo de fé" en la parte posterior, resaltando la fé cristiana de mi gente.

The contrast of colors looks great. Visually it is a colorful mural with an appropriate theme to decorate one of the walls of the busiest streets of Táriba. This is why it was a bit difficult to take pictures, since the mural is about 20 meters long and does not fit completely on the screen of my phone and the cars kept passing by.

El contraste de colores se ve muy bien. Visualmente es un mural de colores y tema apropiado para decorar una de las paredes de las calles más transitadas de Táriba. Es por esto que se me hizo un poco difícil de tomar las fotografías, ya que el mural tiene unos 20 metros de largo y no cabe completo en la pantalla de mi teléfono y los automóviles no dejaban de pasar.
