Learning To Hive : The Tool I Can't Live Without

I'm 2 months shy of my third anniversary on steemit and have been learning how to Hive since the fork. They seem like the same basic process but I've been hiving blind until today.

But thanks to some comment engagement from @markkujantunen I was given a reprieve from some massive hive frustration. My issue is that unless you have followed everything that happened on hive at the moment it happened, you would miss something.

And that is what happened to me. The most incredible tool ever on steemit was steemworld and I have been trying to figure out how find that exact utility here on hive so I could know what was going on with my account at all times.

For the most part, it is my voting mana that matters most to me so that I can determine how to vote to actually give benefit to people and how long I need to wait to curate. I try to keep my voting many at 80% but I wasn't able to figure out my exact mana percentage until today.

So I'm pretty excited that I can now use https://beeme.icu/?account=hiveio to learn everything that is going on with my account in real time. All you need to do to use it is copy/paste the link and put your username where you see hiveio in my example.

But as excited as I am to have the a steemworld clone on hive I'm twice as excited for my comment engagement I had with @markkujantunen , It wasn't a lot but it is the key to hive.

Engagement done right will grow Hive. It's really that simple. I've been in digital marketing since 2006 and consulted on some of the pre-social media startups. Then I participated in many beta programs. Many of them were for the big boys. Twitter, Gmail, Google Glass and Stumbleupon. I know a thing a two and one thing I know about the failure of steemit and the future of hive is that we have to get off of discord.

Leaving a platform you are trying to grow to learn about your platform is insanity. Facebook spent millions of $$$ and loads of brainpower trying to figure out how to keep people hanging out on their platform without allowing them to leave it to get information online. You can do practically anything on facebook now a days.

So my excitement for my little quip with @markkujantunen is more than just the chance to chat with a fellow hivian, it was me learning how have a better hive experience without leaving hive.

I have been desperately trying to figure out how to find steemworld on hive and couldn't find anything about it but until the hive price pump this week, it's been like posting to a ghost town.

If we want hive to grow, we need to hang out here looking for ways to help each other thrive.
