I've been a little on edge the last few days. You'd think it would have something to do with the state of the world, hitting another middle age birthday or maybe even stepping in gum for the first time since Y2K, but it wasn't.
My feelings of uneasiness have been brought about 100% by LEO FOMO. I don't think I have enough but I don't even know what enough is?
Since I started really participating in @leofinance in December my goal was to just accumulate and hold. I started with $0.00 in my wallet and I loved having a clean slate to really track my growth.
Once we started getting teased with Announcement porn I set my goal to have 5,000 Leo at minimum by the time the Project Blank snapshot rolled around. Well even though there is no time table for the snapshot, the explainer announcement announcing the announcement is in T minus 2 weeks.
So if the snapshot occurs within a month or so I won't make my goal. What I have now is a little over 3,000 LP. That's not bad but It makes me nervous because I know that the place for me to dwell and make my mark is microblogging.
I think what brought this on was that I had one 1,000 Leo delegation in a contest and now that reward period is over and my delegation gone.
That prize gave me over 4,000 combined Leo Power to curate with and I was having a ball. Not to mention that I was able to make about 1.4 Leo per day from curation.
Now, it's not all bad as far as reaching my goals because I do have some other bags to convert but I'm not sure if that is the way to go.
I have 5,000 Hive, 5,000 Steem and 3,000 Leo in total. I'm itching to sell my steem because I hate holding dirty money but I feel like the recent news on markets might get steem to pump a little and frankly, I feel like steem owes me a pump before I dump.
If I do sell that steem, I'm happy to buy more Leo but Leo is expensive at the moment. In fact I was in the process of converting my liquid hive to Leo at around $.29 when I stopped because the price went into the 40's & 50's.
Had it stayed put, I would have cleaned out my hive with no second thoughts, but now I'm having them. Mostly from following @eddicted who always seems to be making good cases for the value of hive.
So parting with my hive won't be that easy for me even though I feel that in the long run I may earn it back by participating on Leofinance because my hive earnings have really jumped because of @leo.voter.
So there you have it. A description of where I am in my thought process. Freaking out because I don't have enough Leo. But you also see that if I really wanted more I could buy my way close to my 5,000 Leo goal at current prices by selling my steem & hive.
So what would do and how would you do it? How much Leo is enough for you and why? What are you doing to get youself there? I'd love to hear all about it in the comments.
