Greetings friends of Hive, continuing with the animal drawings, today I present the design of a Raccoon, made in the vector program Inkscape. Here are the steps:

COVER.png

Design of a Raccoon in Inkscape:

Step 1:

Inkscape program is opened, and from the toolbar that is on the left side we click on the option to draw Bézier curves and two figures are drawn, one oval that will be the head and the other the hair of the raccoon.

p01.png

In this part of Bézier curves, the Create Path BSpline Path Mode option is selected, so that the shapes are curved.

Step 2:

The beard and the body of the raccoon are traced at the bottom, using the same tool.

p02.png

Step 3:

Now we continue to trace the two arms of the raccoon with the Bezier tool.

p03.png

Step 4:

Two figures are drawn that are going to be the legs of the raccoon and another that is the tail.

p04.png

Step 5:

Now we proceed to draw the ears of the raccoon, four circles are inserted in the legs with the option to create circles of different sizes, then three shapes in the tail with the Bézier curves tool.

p05.png

Step 6:

Now we proceed to draw the eye on the right side, five circles are inserted with the option to create circles of various sizes, and another eyelash shape with the Bézier curves tool.

p06.png

Step 7:

An oval shape is drawn with the Bézier curves tool above the eye, and then another in the shape of an eyelash, and we have the right eye ready.

P06-1.png

Step 8:

Now the entire eye on the right side is selected, we duplicate it with the Control + D keys and then we move it to the left side, some directions of the figures are changed and we have both eyes ready. The nose and mouth of the raccoon are also traced with the Bézier curves tool.

P07.png

Step 9:

Different shapes are traced on the two ears, the head and the body of the raccoon, for added effect, using the Bézier curves tool. Several lines are also drawn on the legs and arm.

P07-1.png

Step 10:

The color is applied starting with the eyes of the Raccoon, for this we click on the figure and then the white color from the color palette, which is at the bottom of the program. A light and darker blue color is also applied to the eye, the eyelashes in black, remaining in this way.

P08.png

Step 11:

We continue to apply a gray color on the raccoon's head, using step 10.

P08-1.png

Step 12:

Now we're done selecting all the colors in each of the raccoon's parts.

P09.png

Step 13:

The borders of some Raccoon figures are eliminated, for this we select a part and then we go to the menu bar Object – Fills and Borders.

P10.png

A box will be displayed, where we are going to click on the stroke color tab and then, in order to erase the border, we click on the X to eliminate it.

P11.png

Step 14:

Now we proceed to change the borders to a pink color, for this we go to the menu bar Object – Fills and Borders.

P12.png

A box will be displayed, where we are going to click on the stroke color tab and then the color is selected.

Step 15:

To finish this design we group the entire raccoon with the Ctrl + G keys, we duplicate it with the Control + D key combination, the size is reduced, it is placed at the bottom and a 10% blur is applied, remaining as a shadow . Then we insert a black background and we have our Raccoon design ready.
