Que tal, Empowertalent. Esta es mi primera participación en una iniciativa de esta hermosa comunidad y el tema es ¿Cómo construir una vida extraordinaria? Me gustaría expresar desde mi punto de vista, lo que a lo largo de mi vida he entendido de lo que es, construir una vida extraordinaria y a lo largo de la vida, dependiendo de la evolución que vamos teniendo, vamos cambiando de perspectiva a medida que vamos entendiendo nuestro propósito en la vida.

Nacemos con un ímpetu que traemos por nuestros padres, de cómo nos van moldeando desde que nacemos, no solo genéticamente, sino también por lo que nuestros ojos van captando desde el momento que iniciamos esta aventura de la vida. Siempre la influencia de nuestro entorno nos va moldeando desde el día uno y a esta etapa la llamo “fase de interpretación, ensayo y error”. Entonces vayamos hablando de cada fase.

Hello, Empowertalent. This is my first participation in an initiative of this beautiful community and the theme is How to build an extraordinary life? I would like to express from my point of view, what I have understood throughout my life of what it is, to build an extraordinary life and throughout life, depending on the evolution that we have, we change our perspective as we understand our purpose in life.

We are born with an impetus that we bring from our parents, how we are molded from the moment we are born, not only genetically, but also by what our eyes are capturing from the moment we start this adventure of life. We are always influenced by our environment from day one and I call this stage “interpretation, trial and error phase”. So let's talk about each phase.

Interpretación, ensayo y error: en esta fase muy difícilmente tenemos un criterio propio, esto se da desde el año 0 hasta aproximadamente los 7 u 8 años (Ojo, no son reglas escritas, es mi apreciación según mis experiencias), antes de los 8 años, es difícil refutar lo que nuestro entorno nos muestra, si nacemos en un entorno de respeto, sentaremos nuestras bases en torno al respeto, si nacemos en un entorno hostil, la hostilidad será un comportamiento familiar y normal para nosotros. La religión, gustos musicales, características, estas serán solo una forma de interpretación basada en lo que conocemos de nuestro entorno, pero pasada esta edad llegamos a la fase que llamo…
Experimentación: acá empezamos a refutar ciertas características y al conocer otros entornos, vamos moldeando nuestra personalidad en base a nuestros gustos, ya sean musicales, deportivos, etc., y es acá cuando empezamos a tomar ciertas decisiones basados en nuestras necesidades, podría decirse que e acá cuando somos más conscientes de lo que queremos y muy probable que en un porcentaje de algunas personas se inicie ese pensamiento de empezar a construir una vida, pero esto tal vez pase en un porcentaje muy reducido de la población y basados en la complejidad del inicio de una vida. Es por esto que empezamos a experimentar nuevas cosas, colores, costumbres, pasiones, que se van dando en esa etapa rebelde de la adolescencia, hasta que llega la época de empezar a tomar rienda de nuestras vidas, siendo esta la etapa más difícil según el criterio de construir una vida extraordinaria.
Replanteamiento, más ensayo y más error: a partir de los 20 años, llega esa etapa donde tenemos ideas de lo que queremos y estamos sometidos a la influencia de nuestro entorno y es acá donde el entorno y nuestra capacidad de interpretación, van forjando nuestro carácter y es muy probable que nuestros patrones de éxito estén basados en la vida de otras personas o en los deseos de otras personas. Esta etapa es difícil, ya que muchos no tenemos el apellido correcto, o los conocidos específicos, o la habilidad que a algunos necesitan, o la nacionalidad envidiada, acá es fundamental tener en cuenta nuestro carácter y serenidad ante la vida.

Experimentation: here we begin to refute certain characteristics and to know other environments, we are shaping our personality based on our tastes, whether musical, sports, etc., and this is when we begin to make certain decisions based on our needs, it could be said that this is when we are more aware of what we want and very likely that in a percentage of some people start that thought of starting to build a life, but this may happen in a very small percentage of the population and based on the complexity of the beginning of a life. This is why we begin to experience new things, colors, customs, passions, which are given in that rebellious stage of adolescence, until the time comes to start taking control of our lives, this being the most difficult stage according to the criterion of building an extraordinary life.

Rethinking, more trial and error: from the age of 20, comes that stage where we have ideas of what we want and we are subject to the influence of our environment and it is here where the environment and our ability to interpret, are forging our character and it is very likely that our patterns of success are based on the lives of other people or the desires of other people. This stage is difficult, since many of us do not have the right surname, or specific acquaintances, or the ability that some people need, or the nationality envied, here it is essential to take into account our character and serenity in the face of life.

Estas son las fases que en mi cabeza mueven los hilos de mi vida, pero llega un punto que buscar un propósito en la vida se vuelve más una desventaja que ventaja, ya que el simple hecho de vivir, ya es un propósito, hacer lo que amamos, es tener una vida extraordinaria. Y ya definidos estas partes podría definir entonces que mi vida ha estado llena de cosas extraordinarias que han forjado mi carácter, desde haber sido un atleta de la federación nacional de deportes acuáticos, haber formado parte del Coro sinfónico Simón Bolívar, haber estudiado la carrera de mis sueños, conocer cada estado de mi país, haber conocido personas maravillosas, tener la dicha de ver cada día a mi madre feliz. Todo eso para mí ha sido una vida extraordinaria en su singularidad característica, porque ha estado plagada de momentos difíciles, pero con los años me he dado cuenta de que ellos también son maravillosos, ya que nos retan a sacar lo que hay dentro de nosotros y a conocernos en los momentos más complejos.

These are the phases that in my head pull the strings of my life, but there comes a point that looking for a purpose in life becomes more of a disadvantage than an advantage, since the simple fact of living is already a purpose, to do what we love, is to have an extraordinary life. And having defined these parts I could define then that my life has been full of extraordinary things that have forged my character, from being an athlete of the national federation of aquatic sports, having been part of the Simón Bolívar Symphonic Choir, having studied the career of my dreams, knowing every state of my country, having met wonderful people, having the joy of seeing my mother happy every day. All this for me has been an extraordinary life in its characteristic uniqueness, because it has been plagued with difficult moments, but over the years I have realized that they are also wonderful, because they challenge us to bring out what is inside us and to know ourselves in the most complex moments.

Entonces para construir una vida extraordinaria, solo debemos entender que independientemente de lo que creamos, nuestra vida en sí, es maravillosa, simplemente debemos abrir los ojos al mundo y verlo desde una perspectiva honesta.

So to build an extraordinary life, we just need to understand that regardless of what we believe, our life itself is wonderful, we just need to open our eyes to the world and see it from an honest perspective.
