There are some motives behind celebrating any particular date. Even today people follow the footsteps of great men so that they can walk on a good path. These things are organized so that we set an example of brotherhood for each other, feel the sorrow of others and help each other in times of need.
Today my whole country is celebrating group Nanak jayanti with great pomp.Here this festival is celebrated as Light festival. On this particular day huge Bhandaras are organized from place to place. Free food is provided to the people. Like the Christmas festival, gifts are distributed to bring happiness on the faces of the people.
