Have you thought about what you want to achieve in the next five years?
Do you know what you want to have accomplished by the end of today?
Goal setting is a salient determinant of how successful you will be. If you want to succeed, you need to set goals, especially on a daily or weekly basis.
Setting goals is important because:
- It serves as a way to evaluate your progress
- Instead of thinking in an uncertain direction, setting goals gives you hint on what to brainstorm on
- Setting goals helps to define the role you need to take in achieving your goal.
However, do you know that the physical act of writing down goals makes it real and tangible?
Taking few minutes to put your goals into pen and paper is profitable because as you do inspiration on how to achieve these goals will be drawn on you.
To accomplish your goals, I would like to share with you three tips on how to steadily achieve all.
Set your goals yourself: when you let others set goals for you, you may not have a sense of commitment towards it and this will affect your productivity. If you want to involve people in the process of goal achievement, it's okay but don't let them set the goals for you.
Understanding why the goals are set is important: fully knowing why you set the goals will give you a strong sense of purpose and motivation to achieve it all even during hard times. This will enable you to keep your eyes on the prize and keep moving.
Track your performance: as you're working to achieve your goals, please note your progress. Keep a record of what you're doing, this will help you to trace if you're still inline or not.
Finally, achieving goals gives a feeling of fulfilment. But you can only achieve what you are conscious of.
Why don't you write down your goals for this week if you haven't and if you have, start achieving them now馃槉
