Hi Everyone
Today I watched a pretty interesting old movie from 1988 starring Bette Midler.
The movie is called Beaches and focuses on the life of a singer and actress played by Bette Midler.
This catchy little song is sung during the movie and its one of those tunes that stuck in my head as soon as I heard it .
I have been walking around the house singing it this morning.
It turns out this tune was first recorded in 1936 by an artist called Benny Goddman and was a number one hit way back in the day.
I was inspired to try and record my own little version of this wonderfully catchy little number.
"The Glory Of Love"
You've got to give a little
Take a little
And let your poor heart
Break a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love
You've got to laugh a little
Cry a little
Until the clouds
Roll by a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love
You've got to win a little
Lose a little
Yes and always
Have the blues a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love
You've got to give a little
Take a little
And let your poor heart
Break a little
That's the story of
That's the glory of love
That's the story of
That's the glory of
Love
