¡Holiii!, me presento nuevamente: soy Celeste.

Almost a year has passed since the last time I posted, when, due to life's stumbles, I decided I had to leave Hive. Since then, over a thousand things have happened, and month after month, my memories of this place became more and more blurry.
There were days when I remembered how I used to take photos, or draw; even documenting my garden was an activity I then recalled with deep nostalgia, but feeling as if they had belonged to another life. However, a few days ago, something awakened within me again, when I had to do an academic activity that consisted of creating a digital blog.
So, I wrote. I did it almost with my eyes closed. As if my hands on the keyboard were dancing instead of writing; as if my eyes were savoring every paragraph I reviewed. It was liberating. I had forgotten how beautiful it was to be able to express yourself through the written word, granting yourself an infinite world just for you. That is Hive. The possibility of having your own space and practically anyone being able to read you. That's why, here I am, I decided to return with other perspectives, perhaps more interesting than what I once was.
During these last 11 months I've been working hard at university.
I inevitably matured, although less than I would like; still, when I look in the mirror of introspection, I remain the same girl who has no social skills, and who believes that running away is the solution to her problems. Will I change, or is it already an imperfection inherent to my being?
On the other hand, I dedicated my free days to preparing myself a lot academically, sacrificing my hobbies; I never picked up a pencil to draw again, nor a needle to sew, and let's not even talk about my neglect towards crafts!
Recently, that catastrophe occurred that literally shook the country, and it was as if I suddenly realized something: we are inevitably going to die. Why sacrifice my life studying so much if suddenly tomorrow I simply don't wake up? That doesn't mean I shouldn't prepare at all, but there must be a balance. From studying so much, I lost friendships, I lost outings that could have been valuable memories now... How could I recover that? I think it's time to stop sacrificing my time.
The world is vast and wonderful, especially if you are an artist; why waste my life without ever again knowing the joy of enjoying creating art, no matter how "ugly" it is? Well, although I don't consider myself an artist in the full sense and I can't even be a writer, because I have nothing good to tell, my happiness lies in being able to channel my feelings into something.
That's how, since then, I even started practicing classical guitar, and although I can't afford to be very consistent, I hope someday to be able to play beautiful pieces, because I am a person who believes they came to this world to enjoy music; why deny myself that to focus on trifles? I want to feel that, if I died tomorrow, at least I did something to live.
I return to Hive to connect with myself, from another perspective, perhaps more serene, maybe a little more mature and wishing to be persevering.
I think my return will be intermittent. I would like to be able to dedicate myself to this as a hobby, but unfortunately I'm still finishing my degree; it feels like climbing a staircase, whose final steps are the hardest.
My project (thesis) has been stressing me out a lot, and my only comfort is having hobbies for a while; I feel it's even a privilege. Sometimes I think: when I get a job, will I have time to do what I love? I prefer to make the most of my time now, and stroll through Hive every now and then.
I feel that it fills me, in a way, to read other people sharing their experiences and their lives, no matter how simple their story may be; it creates a sweet, kind, warm closeness that makes me happy. Maybe it's because I'm very lonely.
Perhaps, not as often as I would like, I'll join that dynamic and share again about the books I read, or my sewing (I'm thinking of learning pattern making and maybe buying fabrics), and above all my art; maybe, from time to time, I'll leave some small reflection here that comes to my mind on any given day.
Writing this post after so long made me remember and reevaluate what I found here: feeling that each of our lives, no matter how boring we think they are, will seem interesting to someone.
That's the beauty of Hive, the people who make it up and the opportunity for others to enjoy the same things we do. I would like to reconnect and meet more people, so I ask you, who are reading me: what do you like to do on Hive?
