Have you ever set yourself a challenge? I think it's super exciting to set something for yourself and not stop until you achieve it. One of the challenges I have right now is to photograph a hummingbird. And you know what? They're not perfect pictures, but I did it.
I can't explain to you how nervous I get with these little birds in front of me, they're so fast that I feel like I won't have time to freeze them in motion.
I was walking calmly through the neighborhood when I saw it in the garden of one of the neighbors. I ran like a crazy back to my house in search of the camera and when I returned luckily it was still there.
My neighbor explained to me that she has the good fortune to see it every afternoon, and sometimes even in the mornings too. What a thing, I've been looking for a hummingbird for a while, and I had it closer than I thought.
I sat on the porch and I stayed there for a while trying to get something halfway decent, the day was cloudy and the light wasn't the best, I increased the shutter speed and shoot it was said.
Every time it moved I lost focus, even so I'm very happy to have captured it, and I'm sure we'll have more future encounters. For now I share the first one with you.

¿Alguna vez te has puesto un reto? Yo creo que es superemocionante proponerse algo y no parar hasta cumplirlo. Uno de los retos que tengo actualmente es fotografiar un colibrí. ¿Y sabes qué? No son las fotos perfectas, pero lo hice.
No te puedo explicar lo nerviosa que me pongo con estos pajaritos en frente, son tan rápidos que siento que no me va a dar tiempo congelarlos en movimiento.
Iba muy tranquila caminando por el vecindario, cuando lo veo en el jardín de una de las vecinas. Corrí como una loca de regreso a mi casa en busca de la cámara y cuando regrese por suerte seguía ahí.
Mi vecina me explicó que tiene la dicha de verlo todas las tardes, y a veces incluso también en las mañanas. Que cosa, yo llevo tiempo buscando un colibrí, y lo tenía más cerca de lo que pensaba.
Me senté en el portal y me quede un buen rato esperando lograr algo medianamente decente, el día estaba nublado y la luz no era la mejor, aumenté la velocidad de obturación y a dispar se ha dicho. Cada vez que se movía perdía el enfoque, aun así estoy muy feliz de haberlo capturado, y estoy segura de que tendremos más encuentros futuros. Por ahora te comparto el primero.
