驴Sabes a lo que me refiero?
4.Vivir sola.
驴Y t煤? 驴Extra帽as algo de tu pa铆s?
Amar茅 leerte.
The process of emigrating is not easy, we all know that. That's why, every time I have an idea floating around in my head, I grab a notebook and pen to organize my thoughts as I write, as a kind of exercise.
This time, nostalgia knocked on my door, and I wondered why I felt this way and if I really missed so many things about my island. So I made this list of the six things I miss most about living in Cuba.
1.The weather. Cuba's wonderful weather is priceless: blue skies most days, warm sunshine during these months when it's neither cold nor hot. It's a fantasy for my senses. But then I think about the power outages and I'm forced to come back down to earth with a bump.
2.My family. Being so far away, the rush of everyday life, and the many obstacles and illnesses that all Cuban families are going through right now, including mine, with so many miles between us, make me feel a little incomplete. Not being able to be there to make my mom soup and let her rest without worries is something I miss a lot.
3.My favorite, almost private places to take pictures and watch the sunset. Wow, how I miss that. There are many beautiful places too, but the ones I know so far are public parks, which I still don't find that magical. Do you know what I mean?
4.Living alone. Living alone is another of the things I enjoy most in life. I am a person who needs space to create, silence, and well, with five people in a house, that's a little difficult.
5.My cat. Michi, his purrs, his calmness, and even his feline indifference鈥擨 miss him. Something I love about this place is that they take great care of their pets, and every time I see a cat or a dog, I want to kidnap it and keep it for myself.
6.Avocados. It's true that the taste of avocados in Spain is not the same. They are wrinkled and very small. Anyway, I don't like them.
What about you? Do you miss anything about your country?
I'd love to hear from you.
