Good Morning Peoples,

This morning I’d like to thank a little known ufc fighter named Kajan Johnson for keeping it real. If you watch the video below, you will see this fighter give a truly honest & honorable assessment of his sport to his own detriment.

This clip is his post fight interview after a cool down from his last fight. He echoed the same sentiment in the ring immediately after the fight (was unable to find it)

If you are a fan of the ufc you know the fans & management generally want to see fighters go in & throw bombs at each other till someone gets knocked out. However, if you have ever studied the art of fighting you should have figured out that brawling for entertainment is not the smartest way to fight.

Personally, I want to see the strongest & most intelligent fighters play the hi risk chess game, that is mma, as tactical as possible. Meaning you want to give yourself the highest chance of winning the fight while taking the least amount of damage.

I have seen many many fighters shorten their careers & lives fighting & overly aggressive style trying to entertain fans while gaining no tactical advantage. The drunken usually cowardice fans screaming for action & blood during these fights demand it. It is my least favorite part of watching any sport.

You can go to any professional sporting event in this country & pay to get drunk & yell disrespectful obscenities at professional athletes. This fan culture has sickened me since I was a high school football player observing so called “super fans”, too scared to play sports, running their mouths from the seats. The kind of fan that says “we won, we are great” when the team wins & “you lost, you suck” when the team loses.

This is why I love what this guy said above. He said almost exactly how I feel about the fan culture & pointed out the lack of respect for what these guys have accomplished just to get to that ring.

If you have ever worked your ass off to be good at something & or been in a fight, you should appreciate what this guy is saying. He is speaking about honor, respect, & appreciation, things this culture & all of us really need.

Turns out the guy has a lot more going on besides fighting as well. If you’re interested in hearing more from him, his pre fight interview for the same card is excellent 👇

Would love to see more real leaders like this guy step up & challenge pieces of our culture that our detrimental to people in general. Promoting Industries of disrespecting our most physically & mentally talented people does not create a healthy culture in my opinion.

I want to see more athletes like Kajan Johnson stand up for themselves. If you are the type of fan that likes to berate athletes, why do you feel the need to do this? Does it make you feel better in some silly way? Do you think it is just fun & has no effect on the way you feel about yourself & others?

The best lessons in any martial arts are the ones focusing on respecting ones self & others.

This guy Kajan Johnson is a real martial artist. I hope he safely wins a championship & echoes the same sentiments
