The Five, Volume 1:3 – The Creative Coin Fund Curation Week

Welcome to The 5, a collection of five #creativecoin artists and their posts curated by the Creative Coin Fund.

The Creative Coin Fund is a new curation and investment account dedicated to supporting artists and the Creative Coin token. You can read our introduction post here.

For the week of June 16 to June 22, we reviewed dozens of Creative Coin posts (most of them discovered through the new posts feed on www.creativecoin.xyz) and found these five to be particularly noteworthy.

The sculpture of @ammonite

In Not True Wealth, @ammonite shares photos of a sand sculpture they created for the 2014 Fulong sand sculpture festival in Taiwan. Aside from being impressed that anyone could create such detailed work out of sand, we also like that @ammonite shared the experience of participating in the competition, described the process and struggle of sculpting the sand, and offered commentary on what each figure in their sculpture represents.

The music of @naradamoon

We were moved by the depth of feeling and passion in @naradamoon's song, I EXPAND MY MIND. We also appreciate his reflection on the process of creating music and his role as an artist in that creation. He mentions his desire to be able to produce more aesthetically pleasing content: we think the hazy lighting in the video, while perhaps not 'professional' grade, supports the feeling of this song quite well.

The fiction of @young-boss-karin

source

We're always thrilled to find a fiction writer using #creativecoin, since so few do these days. It could happen by @young-boss-karin has a 'call-me-ishmael' type opening and a white whale in the form of a boy named David. We like the conceit of the first person narrator consciously addressing an unknown reader, and how fully formed the character is through her voice.

The photography of @bugavi

In Incredible Sky Daisy Photoshoot, @bugavi writes, "I'm drawn to creating something that someone else just wouldn't think of." Mission accomplished. The post shows us a (presumably) mother-daughter photoshoot with a series of interesting images that express the sky daisy theme. What we like most is that @bugavi shared this fun and memorable mother-daughter day with us.

The music of @lk666

A Guitar Looper Improvisation is a relaxing guitar loop by an (apparently) relaxed and chill hippie dude. It was the first post we made note of while curating last week, and we'll be sure to listen to and upvote @lk666's work in the future.

Thank you to our delegators

The Creative Coin Fund was established in May, and we're still in the process of buying CCC to power up the account. At the moment, the bulk of our Creative Coin voting power comes from these generous benefactors.
