The drawing of @insaneworks

Interpretation is itself a creative and artistic process. In Sour Pressure - Inktober days 9 and 11, the artist @insaneworks creatively interprets this week’s #Inktober prompts “sour” and “pressure” along with an insightful explanation piece. Using paper cut-outs from old magazines, the artist draws and writes about the “mother of all conspiracy theories”, that is, the perfect housewife. Under the façade of hard work and innocence, the artist makes us again aware of the struggles of unattainable standards mass media has promoted, and still do.

The fiction of @tejimundo

En "La Fábrica de Amigos" nos encontramos con una gran lección edificante acerca de la amistad; es una narración que pretende cautivar al público infantil, pero como toda historia bien contada, atrapa a todo tipo de lector. Tres cualidades resaltan para catalogarla como una obra ideal para niños: el énfasis en el valor de la amistad como uno de los tesoros más preciados; uso de un lenguaje estéticamente bien empleado para el público juvenil y finalmente no corta la esperanza del príncipe en su deseo de encontrar un amigo, lo consigue, pero además aprende que primero hay que aprender a serlo.

The music of @rayjose

@rayjose nos comparte la interpretación de la canción Te lo voy a decir Cantando lo hace en compañía de su guitarra acústica, haciendo uso de un capo traste en la posición #1. La canción es interpretada con mucho sentimiento, buen homenaje al grupo musical los gofiones, está versión tiene un toque a bolero tradicional, repleta de cambios de acordes de tonalidad muy dulce, la forma de cambiar de acordes, sin ni siquiera mirar hacia la guitarra, demuestra una vida llena de muchas horas de practica musical. Excelente manera de tocar la guitarra @rayjose.

The writing of @raj808

In On Top of the World, @raj808 offers a haiku, a reflection, and brief tutorial on haiku. His crisply presented post follows the haiku form in its juxtaposition of two points of reference (the haiku and reflection as one and the tutorial the second). The balance of the two points (the balance in the post's form) helps to infuse the post with the theme of his poem and reflection: the sense of peace that comes from our primordial connection to nature. One final note: ignore the included YouTube song; it detracts from the reading experience.

The drawing of @thermoplastic

Art that brings one to a standstill and that makes one question what is presented, always leaves an impression. A certain feeling of discomfort fills me as I try to uncover the hidden meanings in the artwork presented by @thermoplastic, or Otto Rapp. “The Prophet is Crying,” a charcoal artwork on matboard recently sold by the artist, captivates and pulls one into the disorientating and surreal world. Averting our gaze, the crying prophet looks away and denies our efforts to understand it.
