Art Journal: "Nature's Stillness" Landscape Acrylic Painting🎨🖌️
In this post, I'm going to show you how to paint beautiful landscapes with simple methods.
I used three different painting brushes and seven colors of acrylic paint. It took me forty-five minutes to finish this painting.
Materials Needed:
👉 Acrylic paper pad
👉 Pencil and eraser
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin
Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Filbert brush
Acrylic Paint:
👉 Titanium white
👉 Ultramarine blue
👉 Mars black
👉 Grass green
👉 Green mid
👉 Lemon yellow
👉 Yellow ochre
Basic Painting Procedure:
Background /Sky:
First, Outline your painting reference
Then, start working with the background. The colors for the sky are titanium white, and ultramarine blue. Blend them well and create a smooth effect of the blue sky.
Brush: Flat brush.
Distant trees: Blue and white
Brush: Filbert brush
Middle Ground:
Closer trees and bushes:
Tree leaves: Grass green, black, green mid, yellow, and white
Brush: Filbert brush
Foreground:
Foreground Is the bottom or nearest object of the painting.
Landscape: Grass green and a small amount of black, with highlights of lemon yellow, yellow ochre, and white.
Brush: Filbert brush
Water: white, blue, green mid, grass green, and black
Brush: Flat brush
I put water reflections on the water, especially lights and shadows.
Liner brush/extra details: tree limbs, grass, and water lines.
