Art Journal: Learn How To Paint Sunset Stillness | Coffee Painting ☕🎨🖌️

Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? Let me share with you my new art. Today I created a sunset art. I call this a sunset stillness, painted in coffee powder as my medium.

You can try to paint this as your painting reference, just follow the basic method of how to paint using coffee. This is just the same painting with watercolor.

I used three types of painting brushes for this art. And it took me one hour to finish this artwork.

Materials Needed:
👉 Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
👉 Pencil and eraser
👉 Coffee Powder
👉 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin

Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Round brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background. Then create the beautiful clouds formation of the sky.
• Paint the first layer of the middle ground subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add some details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have a sharp line or a shape unless it is completely dry.
