I remember the day when he was born. I stayed all day clenched in a dreaded anxiety. It was mixed with happiness. And hope. And dreams. Sure, I was being warned that the love for a child is different. But it still hit me like a truck. Boneless, clear, serene love. Archaic in nature, almost as an instinct. Sometimes I have this "I am going to burst out of love" feeling. :)

He is shy. He barely lets me snap a photo of him. I have to pretend that I am doing something else. My love for him is only matched by his love for Minecraft. I am looking for ways to pull him out of there. Any suggestions? Not that I am against technology, au contraire, it is the future, but I cannot but remember my childhood, it was deprived of any fast information, videos, games, etc. Well, maybe I ought to reinvent some childhood games and put them in a more 21st-century context. :)

Seeing my kids growing and changing and developing a personality it is the one and only miracle that I witnessed and will witness in this life. And it cannot but bring joy, not sadness, knowing that all we have is limited.

Well, my next milestone with Vlad is to have a beer with him. Thirtheen more years and I'm there. :)
