Reflection of a Christmas tree in a pond. Qurator's Photo Quest | Christmas Ornament Reflections

After having participated in the last edition of the Qurator`s Photo Quest I decided to participate again in this week`s challenge which is about photographing Christmas ornaments reflections.

As in many of the challenges posed by @qurator I did not know how to interpret the challenge. At first I had the intention of photographing a Christmas ball where I could capture the environment that surrounds it. However, it seemed more original to me to use a photo I have from a few weeks ago while I was walking around the city of Oviedo.

When I saw the Christmas tree in front of the Vasco shopping center, I decided to take some pictures of it with my new Sony Alpha 6000L camera, which I had not yet mastered completely.

After taking some pictures of the tree, I realized that in the vicinity there was a sculpture formed by a frame and a glass, so I decided to take some pictures looking for the framing of the tree inside the sculpture.

While I was taking the picture framing the tree, I realized that a small puddle had formed on the base of the structure and the Christmas tree was reflected in it. So I took the next picture, but I had no way to get the reflection without removing the side of the sculpture frame.

Therefore, with the intention of submitting a photograph where the frame did not attract attention, I decided to retouch the photograph with the PhotoPad program and submit it to the contest.
