Photographing reflections has been one of my favorite hobbies in photography. But in the last few months I have discovered through this community my love for black and white photography as well. That is why I decided this afternoon to review some of my best photographs of reflections and see if they worked in black and white and of course they transmit a lot and even more than color.

Nazari Palaces (Alhambra of Granada)

About a month ago I visited the great monument that is the Alhambra of Granada from the inside. Undoubtedly I was impressed by the beauty of its Nasrid palaces such as the palace where the fountain of the lions is located.

alt

However, the place that most impressed me by its symmetry and the beautiful reflection that provided on the pond is placed in front of him was the Comares Palace, reflected on the pond that is located in the courtyard of the arreyanes.

alt

But without staying far behind, the reflection of the palace of the Partal in the outer pond is also one of those magical places that I have kept in my retina and in my photographic archive.

Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba and Roman Bridge

Without leaving Andalusia, a city not as visited as Granada and Seville is Cordoba.

Undoubtedly, it was a discovery for me this city that is located just over an hour from Seville, which houses a great cathedral that in the Muslim era was also a mosque.

alt

Strolling through its streets is to know the history of Spain, since this city was the city of the three cultures, since during some periods of history Christians, Muslims and Jews lived together. And where nowadays courtyard contests are known worldwide.

alt

It is a real pleasure to walk along the banks of the Guadalquivir River over the Roman bridge to pass from one side of the city to the other.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife

In a week I will return to Tenerife. I am looking forward to visiting the Teide National Park again.

alt

But I am also looking forward to return to the capital of Tenerife and in particular to return to walk in an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius in the Plaza de España.

alt

Impressive artificial pond that is a real mirror to see the city from a different perspective.

alt

Beach of the Cathedrals.

A few kilometers from my house and the island Pancha de Ribadeo.....

alt

This is one of the most visited beaches in Spain. But not for its warm waters but for its spectacular architecture made by the erosion of the sea on the rock.

alt

Since this erosion has provided that there are several arches as if they were the arches of a cathedral.

alt

Despite the cold it can be, visiting this beach even in winter is a spectacle and also a place where if we take advantage of the withdrawal of water from the sand we can get beautiful reflections.

alt

I hope you liked this post.

See you soon.
