Hi,

Visiting the city of A Coruña for me is always a pleasure because of its aroma of sea all over the city. A sea sometimes very violent, especially in autumn, winter and spring.

alt

The beach of Riazor-Orzan, of a considerable extension, presents the typical form in C very closed at the expense of the erosion that the sea has made, with what in its day were rocks around it.

alt

Not far from there, on one of the headlands is one of the emblems of the city, which is none other than the oldest Roman lighthouse still in use today. It is none other than the great Tower of Hercules.

alt

The environment of this place is special to contemplate the rugged coastline of the coast.

alt

And also to enjoy the cliffs on which the waves break.

alt

alt

And for those who like sculptures there are several sculptures. Many of them related to the myth of Hercules.

alt

alt

And others with a more local connotation as the statue of Breogan. A mythological being from the Celtic culture of northwestern Spain.

alt

But for an amateur photographer like me, the place I like the most is the area where the Menhirs for Peace are located.

alt

These menhirs have holes at different heights in each Menhir and some of them allow you to take pictures with framing.

alt

But of all the photographs taken using the framing that allow the menhirs, the most beautiful is the one that allows to capture another nearby monument, which is a monument in honor of the fallen in Spanish civil war.

Monument also striking for the placement of several stones, one on top of the other with different inscriptions and literary quotations of some of the fallen in the civil war, as Federico García Lorca.

alt

And as a final touch, if you want to go to a small sandy beach almost private, you can go in a few meters to enjoy a swim.

alt

Greetings.
