The PeakD Publisher #01 The Interface Part 3

I'm here with the next chapter of Creating Content on PeakD.

Ok, next is the "Conversations" icon on the top right side.

Click on it and you have a huge chat window covering more than half of your screen :) There is a "BeeChat" logo on the bottom, click on that and you see what this chatbox is. By the way thanks to @aggroed and @reazuliqbal for developing this useful tool.

It's a little bit bulky right now, (too many errors, no connection) because it's still in development. So Feel free to mingle around and chat with players you want to contact.

Next is the notifications, yay to notifications where you have the news that you are upvoted, followed, reblogged, etc.

One thing you should know if you are like me and want the notification red number dot to go away when you are finished with them, click "Mark as Read". I know it's so obvious but sometimes very delicate information may get missed because you don't click that and notifications pile up.

If you want a more detailed breakdown of your notifications click View More and you have a very detailed filter and drop-down control on notifications.

Now, Let's move to one of the most used navigation drop-down of the site.

This drop-down consistes of 3 sections. Let's cover the "Profile" section now. Click on it.

This is where you can see your posts, filter them, change the way you see them and lots more! Let's go from top to bottom. You can see your avatar, how many followed/followers, a pizza logo ;) and a more button, PeakD Settings button and Account Actions Button on top gray area.

As you can see, the number means your reputation. Some events ask you to be at least 50 rep to participate because they want real contributing people to attend. Usually a low rep means you don't do anything on Hive; blogging, upvoting, commenting, reblogging etc. Start doing that and you'll rise.

Also, when you hover and wait on that "i" logo you can see those very important info.

You can see your followers and who you following when you click on those small following/followers lines, also it means that you are in connections page. Also you can go check your lists, muted etc. But one thing is important here, go check suggestions and you can find out very good content creators to follow from here. Oh my god, I totaly forgot to follow lot's of great people, I should spend some time here. If you follow them they also share some very important info and talk about giveaways etc. Don't miss it! (I found lots of accounts have to follow)

Also, what is that "pizza" sign. It means I'm a pizza owner (basicaly acquired 20 Pizza and staked it) There are lots of different badges out there.

When you click on your Avatar you can edit your profile. It's just that the profile picture changes takes a little bit time. I usualy go check Ecency app to see my new avatar and if I didn't like it change it again. @peakd might want to look at this issue.

Now, Let's begin "Peakd Settings". On the grey area you can see two text buttons, one in the top is "Peakd Settings". Click on it. You have very detailed controls here. Be careful about changing stuff here, It's your own responsibility to decide what to do.

The "General Tab" consists of rewards, apis nodes etc. I'm warning again, be careful here!
Default Vote Weight for Posts" is when you click on upvote you have the option to percentage your like in order to upvote more content and not use your voting credit fast. I think I'll change that to 20, that's a good starting amount. It's the same for comments.

Now, one huge decision and careful observation point! "Default Post Reward"

The default is my favourite after some time I collect a good amount of HP. I think I have talked about it before but if you have a strong HP (Hive Power) you have more RC (Resource Credits) to do anything you want on Hive. RC is the gas on transaction on Hive. If you don't have enough RC you have to wait for it to refill.

If you are a new player go for "100% Hive Power" to get stronger in HP fast and then do whatever you want freely. Then you can switch to default %50/%50. Or maybe you want all your rewards in liquid HBD, than choose @reward.app and wait, it will send you your rewards at the end of your payout. "Burn" is burn, nothing. If you are doing it just for charity you may use it. But for charity reasons you should use "Donate to Hive Fund" instead if you are asking me. "Declined" is declined, you don't want the payout, but I don't know where it goes actually. Here I have a question for @peakd , when you burn, donate or decline what happens to curators pays? That's a pro question I want to learn too.

Ahh, something I should have definitely use to support PeakD. "Add PeakD as Beneficiary" I turned it on, I wasn't thinking before but it's good to support the developers. If you click on that teal button says "Edit Defaults" it goes to a page like that.

This is the beneficiaries page. You can share or directly move your rewards with beneficiaries. Also If you are a new hiver please use my referral code here to register. Register Link

If you don't want to login to Beechat uncheck the next button says "Automatically login to BeeChat". Select the default API node is also something important. As you see I'm using @emrebeyler API node because it's the fastest for me. It changes to where you reside actually so you should click "Check Speed" to see the most convinient for you. You will be directed to "API Nodes Speed Test" page, then click Start Benchmark and wait for the results.

As you can see I'm using the Best Node for me, the fastest. But Deathwing is not bad times too. Also this is not a quality measure, more accounts using a node means less bandwith. Also go back and click "Check Status" button. You'll see the scores there.

If you want you can also use another API Node on your Hive Keychain. So choose off on the "Use API node also in Hive Keychain" section and go to Hivekeychain own chrome plugin, click preferences and change it.

Enable Portfolio View and Enable Curation History somehow not responding or doing something, maybe I'm doing something wrong. @peakd

Allow background operations is to Allow PeakD to publish scheduled posts granting the posting authority. It's very useful to prepare a post and share it on a time maybe more readers can see, or later.

Content section has 4 settings. First is for how to handle the NSFW content. (There is a typo and double sentence there @peakd )

"Use author muting preferences" is for using your list of ignored accounts when viewing comments.

"Default comments sorting" is for the default order to display comments on a post. You can these sorting methods.

"Hide posts with specific tags" is for hiding posts with a specific tag or category from your following feed.

Here on Interface tab we have 8 settings. Dark Mode is for using Windows default mode or directly using dark or light mode. You may take your PeakD dark, it's good four your eyes. I usually prefer white because it's good for snapping images for blogging.

You can choose different post page viewing like Blog, Grid or List.

Pop-out panel option is a good one. When you click a post on a feed the post pops out and when you finish you click on the side and you came back to your feed, it's useful. You can change that behaviour.

Claim Reward Reminder is for a reminder comes if you have that or more amount of rewards, other than that you do't get any reminder. Set it to 0 to disable it.

You can disable the image sliders in post or feed in the next two settings, reduce the mobile page image quality.

And last of all is if you want a reminder on your browser tab showing you the reminders.

Don't forget to click "Save Settings" or it's just go in vain all those little tweaks.
