Years from now our grandkids will ask us how long we were quarantined, and we shall answer, "Many moons."
Full moon passes behind Thurston Peak in Layton, Utah. I'd like to say this shot was meticulously planned for months, or years, but it wasn't, or was it? Actually, kinda.
When I moved to Layton a year ago I remember photographing the full moon one night hoping the moon would pass behind Thurston Peak (or Francis Peak, ya know, the golf balls) so when I went outside tonight a set my tripod down and pulled out my trusty app to check where the moon was going to rise, I was tickle pink (see what I did there) that it was rising right behind Thurston Peak.
Moon photos taken about 90 seconds apart, shows you how fast the moon moves when zoomed in.
