She flew in on the Saturday that we were supposed to shoot but her flight was delayed 3 times throughout the day and she didn't arrive until around 10 pm, so we had to postpone the shoot until the next day, Sunday night. The shoot was an absolute blast with Ashley and another dancer, Sarah from Portland (post coming next with her photos), and we shot until around 11 pm.
It took about an hour to clean up the rig and all my gear, then another 90 minutes to drive home, putting me in my at about 2 AM. My alarm for work went off 5 hours later at 7 AM. Work was tough that day, especially in the afternoon but it was worth it for a night dancing under the stars.
These were taken just after sunset and the skies had a cool blue/purple hue due to the Belt of Venus wikipedia link

I must disclose that the background images were taken the night before when I did the shoot with Autumn because the moon was very bright this night, and the stars were not quite as brilliant. I hate using sky images from a different night but the dancers were ok with it and I do my best to place the milky way precisely where it would have been had the moon not been out.
