Early call to say my wife's grandson would not be visiting. His parents have not pinned down a solid arrangement to allow proper forward planning. We have just got to go with the flow. That set the mood back a bit. Not a bad thing as my wife is still recovering from her concussion. Rest, rest, rest is the story.
Kept busy doing investing stuff - keen to keep up on a rainy day. Forecast was for rain to ease off around 4pm. Took the umbrella for a walk about then with a loop to the shops to get a gift and card for tomorrow

A bonus to add in the bottlebush flowers - a very damp.and bedraggled rainbow lorikeet. Was busy enough feasting to let me get close.
Got the shop stuff done - a nice card with Ab Fab and Joanna Lumley and a Marilyn Monroe 100 bottle of champagne. Fits a theme for my wife's birthday tomorrow
Had a neighbour come over for a drink and a snack. We had a good chat. He has some life changing choices to make which he wanted to talk about. Simple enough dinner - some vegetarian dishes my wife had sourced. Not our normal fare - worked well.
Ends a good weekend on what was early stages of a slow recovery.
