We drove home via Liverpool so my wife could pick up stuff from her father's place. She dropped me off to walk a track close by. The local name for the walk is Bellbird Track - love the sound

Fungal form

Not turning into a birdie yet. The bellbird is a very plain bird - all brown - with a fab call. There is one in this tree

A dark brown mushroom form on the edge of a fab cycle path along the river

It is the season

Did find the greenhood rosettes about the same place I saw the flowers last year - pterostylis nutans

Tough shot this. There were a few mushrooms with wet tops. They grabbed the light and camera would not focus. Cropped the least worst. I am told these are good to eat in small numbers for low blood pressure
