A dodgy night with weird dreams. A quiet day lined up until we have the street party in our apartment block this afternoon. Last year the party was down the street. We decided to take it on
Walked up to Gordon Street markets - interesting flower along the way - spiky and hopelessly out of focus.
Street markets is a misnomer - in a parking garage and short of food or vege sellers. One Turkish gozleme place was the food. Lots of bric a brac sellers - coins - silver necklaces. Nothing caught the eye for a Christmas prezzie
Did buy an orchid. Not one I have had before. Tiny flowers and half the spike open. Will take at least a week to see them all open. Plant is kind of healthy - needs some work. Not owned one of these
The street party went really well. Half of the guests come from the street with the balance from our two apartments blocks plus one across. Was good to see the long term residents in the street interact with the people from our blocks. Old Gordon meets New Gordon. Especially nice to see the kids playing in our grassy bits - young ladies from up and down the street go to the school down the road.
