Sun came out. Dithered the morning away getting one set of accounts up to date. Did get out on the bike. Sadly my favourite autumn orchid walking track in Ku-ring Gai Chase NP is still closed. Had to walk another - it has 3 segments of rain forest = more walking
Walk starts at marina and tracks up Deep Creek past the mangroves
First orchid of the day is a pixie caps orchid - acianthus fornicatis
A few of the flowers out of season - a little late

Did find a nice colony of helmet orchids. Corybas pruinosus
Toothed helmet orchid. At least 50 or 60 flowers and a new find on this track - maybe a new find.

Apparently very poisonous
Cestichis reflexa orchid high above my head - a few flower spikes finished - new find on this track
Fully open spurred helmet orchid colony
Corybas aconitifloris
Hidden under the pampas grass were lots of buds - maybe also aconitifloris though colour is too deep
This bud is showing signs of calli out the bottom - probably pruinosus
Mushrooms may even be ghost mushrooms
Hibertia in glorious yellow
Watched them lifting a yacht out of the water with lots of attention to making sure keel did not bang on the dock
Good to get out on the bike on a sunny day and only one leech
