LOL - "You start at anchor, and set sail to parts unknown to you" - you nailed it.
I digress. Always.
For now, you may be thinking about the new world order, but not *exclusively - you think about more immediate and "doable" things, too, like planting a garden (now that's an act of faith in the future) or traveling to Nashville, singing a duet on stage - maybe right now you can't remember all your diverse freewrites and gardening/house updates, but the evidence is all here in the blockchain.
WHAT TO DO as the world faces more upheaval? I'm re-reading Bart Ehrman's "Heaven and Hell," with his excellent summation of how prophets and bibles arise whenever we go through upheaval. Entire cities may burn, kings die, whole nations go extinct (not to mention little Pompeii), but WE GO ON. We as a species, a people. The human race.
Civilizations rise and fall. Atlantis is underwater. UFOs (or whatever they've been renamed) continue to mystify us. The Bermuda Triangle seems less mysterious than it once did. Scientists figured out how the massive stone heads made it to shore in the Easter islands (slowly, inch by inch, as half a dozen people "walked" the massive stone however many miles to the sea coast). They have bodies, too, hidden beneath the sand -
.... Hunt and Lipo showed that as few as 18 people could, with three strong ropes and a bit of practice, easily maneuver a 10-foot, 5-ton moai replica a few hundred yards. In real life, walking miles with much larger moai would have been a tense business. Dozens of fallen statues line the roads leading away from the quarry. But many more made it to their platforms intact.
..... Modern-day people may be familiar with this technique from trying to move a heavy bookshelf: you scoot one corner forward, then the other. Here’s a video of Hunt, Lipo, and others testing the “statues walking” theory.
(Proof that I do nothing but #digress - every day! Every occasion!)
