Oh beautiful, poignant, so tautly rendered.
I picture an urn, or some ashes, close by:
I pass you daily with my dogs,
master myself now,
and wonder if you are still
water worthy
or well.
If you are water worthy!
This incredible mix of reverence and (dare I say the profane--would anyone know what I mean?).
The soul and all that is holy; the body and all that is dirt, the elements.
You conveyed that to me, though I have no idea how to articulate it.
Whatever your intent was - it's beautiful, and I love it, and I feel the ache, the mix of spirit and "ashes to ashes, dust to dust." {{Hugs}}
