Thank you for an informative and inspiring post! I shared it with my daughter who's put up with a lot of "devaluing" or being exploited on the job, and she has been ghosted by guys who started out with what I now can call intermittent reinforcement. ("Bait and Switch" is how I thought of it.) I hope she will reach this phase sooner rather than later:

.... I no longer accept devaluation from external sources but instead my focus is on rebuilding my self esteem and my life from scratch once again.

There are several training and job opportunities that I am exploring while I type this. We'll see where they lead.
