Help me out here. I think I see a Jacob's Ladder (left) and a trout lily (right).

I had some volunteer shallots (?) but they're dwindling.
Had some volunteer garlic plants as well. (Some still lurk in the flower beds.)
Live and let live - and ENCOURAGE any perennial vegetable -
Benign neglect usually works well, unless you live on a former cow pasture.
The nonnative grasses, in my 23 years here, have encroached and reclaimed more land than I can fight for. I'm battle weary. But I want to reclaim my leeks and (did I ever have ramps?) and rhubarb and asparagus and ... broadleaf plantain, nettles, mullein, motherwort....
