You had me worried on seeing the top o' the post;

Pretty periwinkle

But you redeemed yourself as I knew you would:

Periwinkle, also known as Vinca, is both an apt name and a very misleading name for this plant. As gorgeous as it can be, and as useful for ground cover, if this stuff is growing where you don't want it to be, you have quite the task cut out for you.

Ohhhhh what a lesson it has been for me. Those pretty flowers, those things they sell in gardening centers, never warning the hapless home gardener of the hazards ahead>
Love this:
Mystery, drama, intrigue, love, joy, birth, death, growth, sickness, health, life, life, life; a garden provides all this. Best of all, it connects me with the earth, with Nature. I re-enter my house renewed.
And how you feel rejuvenated after some time with nature, and "off" if you don't get enough time outdoors, and how you connect this with "electrical deficiencies" - and now I must look up T.he Electroculture Community.

Oh, and I love how you wish you'd kept a garden journal - keep a record!!
Did I ever send you the "Grounded" book...? I gave away four copies last year, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who read it. She reminds us of the importance of notebooks in the garden. -_-

As for my own gardening efforts: I never did write more than 3 parts to "My Agony in the Garden."
Agony in the Garden, by the Decade, Part One
My Agony in the Garden, By the Decade, Part 2
My Agony in the Garden, by the decade, Part 3 - Glory, Glorious, Gloria in excelsis!

Plans? I do not make plans.
I do know I'll be BAREFOOT more than ever this year as I dig in the dirt.
I may even grasp those Wands of Horus and stand in the dirt at sunset...
But then I'll be pulling up vinca, Dame's rocket, tiger lily, and other alien invaders that I so foolishly introduced to my own little acreage. What did I know!
Thanks for this post, Owasco!
