You're most welcome. And you're right: we tend to forget our life lessons and fall back into old habits.
After Sept. 11, "now more than ever" became the mantra with "live each day as if it were your last," and tell all your loved ones you LOVE them, etc. Not even a year passed before most of us were back to our usual busy routines. No time for Sunday dinner with mom or grandma.
Our son is in Mexico - working remotely (office job), living in various places. Mazatlan, Monterey, Culiacan, Cancun, but still not Oaxaca. It's hard for him to get home once a year. The return flight necessitates a bus to Chicago, a flight to San Diego, then walking across the bridge into Mexico, then catching a plane or bus to his next Air B-n-B.
Are you a native of Mexico, or an ex-pat like my son, or neither? (No need to answer that!) the pandemic drove him out of the U.S., and he found the cost of living considerably lower than Chicago or NYC, or anywhere in the US, really, and the availability of fresh, organic food, and escaping U.S. politics has kept him there for three years now.
