Was it really modern medicine and all our injections that took such a toll - why would one in a million (or one in a thousand, or whatever it is) suffer the side effects? We don't get to know. My sister was the one in a million whose white cells tankes after a new cancer treatment (immunotherapy, or a new chemo, I forget which). Better to drown in the ocean and feed sharks than to die slowly and oh, so painully, in a hospital.... but I digress.
