Hazel and Hank!!! Mini Australian sheepdogs - how cute!!! Over time, the male should grow to be larger than the female. (Worked that way with first pair of collies, but still, people would ask how we tell them apart. In sooo many ways - Blaise and his swagger, like John Wayne; Bailey the dainty fox).

How odd to think of any part of New York state as part of Appalachia, or Amish country. To me the whole state always seemed to consist of The City. And It's not "New York City." It's New York, NY. (Didn't know that until I mailed stuff to Miles when he moved there.)

Incredible to think there are still Amish communities functioning without electricity, phones, internet... but it seems like cheating, that they'll drive to the nearest phone in times of emergency.
