The plain little bird with the beautiful song is a living, breathing thing, not a mechanical object that glitters and produces noise on command. So much wisdom in one little folk tale.
Today my sister undergoes Round Two of chemo. Twice a month for six months, 12 rounds....
Our other sister's daughter has a broken or cracked bone in her foot that will take at least six months to heal (it's in a bad place) and I wish for a legion of Purring Cats to deliver to all who are in need of healing. Sister, niece, anyone. Apparently Freddy and the One Whose Name I Never Remember have not perched on your son, purring him back to health, but I wish/hope/pray for healing for all.
