What a beautiful post!
The lavender haze of (wisteria?), the beach, the brown saints, the purple of surrender - Easter, The Passion, Holy Week, all is purple. The vestments, the altar linens. Purple was my sister Julie's favorite color so I keep it in bloom April to October. (Sometimes it's more magenta, but I do what I can.)
This too is beautiful, and I have no doubt you do:
Try and leave everything in your path in slightly better shape than you
found it: the home in disarray, the neglected pet, the lonely neighbor, the
homeless person on the bench, the hungry birds in the parking lot, the despondent stranger in the elevator, the overworked elder at the checkout, the trash-littered sidewalk, the overturned shopping carts...
Thank you for a beautiful (and somewhat neglected, here at Hive) post!
