One hallmark of a great writer is how many other writers s/he reads. And promotes.
On Twitter, some Indie Authors fill their walls with nothing but links to their own books.
The best writers have read many other authors and fear no loss of attention to themselves if they call attention to others. I've seen a lot of quotable quotes on this but will not take time now to hunt them down - if only I could accurately remember things.

You are well-read and you promote the work of your contemporarires (not just the classics, the dead guys) - and I applaud you. :) Your erudition shines through your poems and aphorisms.
