Looks yummy! Now to see if I can substitute ingredients for a gluten-, egg- and dairy-free version of this. What is caramel without butter, pecan pie without eggs? It may take me a lifetime to find alternatives that taste anything like the foods I knew and loved, the first half of my life, before being forced to give them up. No, it's not worth it, the malaise that follows, the migraine, the gluten hangover, the egg headache. But oh, how I miss Turtles and Pecan Pie (and pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting)....
