You remind me of a movie scene everyone else loves but I despise - the protagonist of Cinema Paradiso, stalking the blonde he loves, standing outside her window every night for a year, in rain or snow. THIS IS NOT ROMANCE, this is creepy stalker behavior, and let's stop glamorizing it in movies.
Thank you for this - the punishment may not fit the crime, but the story is a welcome antidote to all these silly romances that sell all too well.
