RE: On Family and Death and Moving Forward (Time Waits for No One)
Ohhh, sad, ohh, how beautifully you capture the sense of shock and loss, the "carry on" with that weight of grief all the days of our lives. Oh, the thwarted surprise! This is one reason life

what a classic freewrite! Without directly describing it, you really capture the loss of your father. This! .... part of freewriting is, to me, allowing those thoughts to flow through your fingers, but

What she said - how well you capture the teen angst, and the strange, small details one might fixate on, because the big picture is too hard to handle. This teenager takes it all in, and we feel her pain,

I am truly in awe of your needlwork - busy you, busy needles, making such beautiful, intricate things! That balloon bouquet - I cannot imagine - all the threads to cut and tie off and work in. What a labor

RE: It is no bad thing to be dowdy and dull (370-word fiction, response to a #freewrite post)
Oh, you are doing a great thing, posting these stories as they come! I was only explaining that for me it's hard to follow, but serializing as-we-write is a trend. The image of the pink flower, I thought,

"The Ballroom Project" works for me as a permanent title. An old editor I know would purge "The" from every title of every short story, to the chagrin of all Perhelion Science Fiction

This link to continuing Folastar’s story is broken: But I don't read posts via ecency anyway, so I'll hunt for it under your Hive address. :) This one definitely has me wanting more of Folastar! ... he

We haven't heard from you for some time, Aisling. I hope all is well. This poem is a keeper. My mom's cousin was on my mind, a WWII vet, Purple Heart, and this is very timely. Yes, a month later, I came

Love it! Tweeted and FB shared - but the image takes a long time to show up at Twitter and often, it never does. Go figure. Twitter only allows so many characters, or I'd have said more - "Great post

Ditto that! I get a "Chicken Little" vibe - or is it a bread-baking Little Red Hen vibe? The nay-sayers. The chorus of naysayers. (No hyphen.) "Shoot the moon" - why does that crack

"Lay them down" - what a great rallying cry! Phones are the enemy's weapons! Distracting us, enslaving us. In our last-century childhoods, if we could have seen documentaries of our granchildren

Wow, do I ever relate to this: It takes me a while to compose my thoughts. Often, when I should speak, I don’t, or can’t, because I don’t have the right words at the right time, and my silence is considered
