Spring+sun+walks

May is here and we are still enjoying spring and the good things we can do when it is here.

Before I start I want to thank this dear community #wednesdaywalk and our friend @Tatto-djay for opening this space where we can express what we do without any fear.

Llego mayo y aún seguimos disfrutando de la primavera y las buenas cosas que podemos hacer cuando ella llega.

Antes de empezar quiero agradecer a esta querida comunidad #wednesdaywalk y nuestro amigo Tatto-djay por abrir este espacio donde podemos expresar lo que hacemos sin ningún temor.

Today I would like to start my recount with a very nice phrase that I found inside the publication of our friend @lilideleopolis that says: Movement is life!

Hoy me gustaría comenzar mi recuento con una frase muy bonita que encontré dentro de la publicación de nuestra amiga @lilideleopolis que dice: ¡El movimiento es vida!

I definitely embrace myself with this phrase since two years ago I decided to leave home and started walking, at that time I only made short walks very close to home and as the days went by I walked a little more.

Definitivamente me abrazo con esta frase ya que desde hace dos años decidí salir de casa y comencé a caminar, en ese tiempo solo hacia caminatas cortas muy cerca de casa y a medida que pasaban los días caminaba un tramo más.

That's how several of my friends also caught this good energy and we created a nice group that not only walked but also talked, laughed and enjoyed the outdoors and the nature that surrounded us.

Fue así como también se contagiaron de esta buena energía varias de mis amigas y creamos un grupo bonito que no solo caminaba sino también conversaba, reía y disfrutaba del aire libre y la naturaleza que nos rodeaba.

After the pandemic ended everything went back to normal and everyone went back to their lives; so I was practically on my own and although it took me several months to realize that I had to do it on my own, now I am more capable and I do not let myself be defeated by those thoughts that tell me: - do not go alone - stay home - do not go out today - turn on Netflix - it's going to rain - it's going to rain - it's too sunny.

Luego que termino la pandemia todo volvió a la normalidad y ya cada quien volvió a su vida; así quedé prácticamente yo sola, así que me animé y lo hice por mí. Ahora ya estoy más capacitada y no me dejo vencer por esos pensamientos que me dicen: - no vayas sola – quédate en casa –no salgas hoy – prende netflix –va a llover –está haciendo mucho sol.

Well, today is proof that when you want to, you can and I testify that life definitely changes when you make the decision to leave the four walls of your house, your bed, your comforts and go out in search of mental and physical health.

Pues bien, hoy es prueba de que cuando se quiere se puede y doy testimonio de que la vida definitivamente cambia cuando tomas la decisión de dejar las cuatro paredes de tu casa, tu cama, tus comodidades y sales en busca de salud mental y física.

This is the case of my last adventure to the mountains, this Monday was the first of May and in Veenzuela we celebrated the worker's day, being a day off we went to fulfill the promise to visit my friend Gloria who lives in a field of my Andean land.

Este es el caso de mi última aventura rumbo a la montaña, este lunes fue primero de mayo y en Venezuela celebramos el día del trabajador, por ser un día libre nos fuimos a cumplir la promesa de visitar a mi amiga Gloria quien vive en un campo de mi tierra andina.

Luckily the day dawned with good sunshine and that gave us more encouragement because we could extend our trip by going to the river.

Por suerte amaneció un día con buen sol y eso nos dio más ánimo porque podíamos ampliar nuestro paseo yendo al rio.

We had been wanting to go to Gloria's house for a long time because in our family we have been talking about some beautiful sheep that were born on her farm. Here in this part of the country sheep are not bred much, so they were a novelty.

Ya desde hace rato queríamos ir a casa de Gloria ya que en nuestra familia solo se habla desde hace rato de unos lindos ovejos que habían nacido en su finca. Aquí en esta parte del país no se crían mucho los ovejos, por eso eran toda una novedad.

We left home at 9 in the morning and I of course took my cell phone with me to capture the good images that I could find on my journey. The mountains of my town are beautiful and spring brings us the greenery and freshness characteristic of this time of the year.

Salimos de casa a las 9 de la mañana y yo por supuesto me llevé mi celular para capturar las buenas imágenes que me pudiera encontrar en mi recorrido. Las montañas de mi pueblo son hermosas y la primavera nos brinda el verdor y frescor característico de este tiempo.

Gloria is a person who loves plants, she takes care of them as if they were her daughters, she always sings to them, fertilizes and waters them with love and not by obligation. Every year in May we can go to her house and see the beautiful orchids in bloom, it is a spectacle, but this time the flowers were everywhere, the plant was watered on the floor and it bloomed as if it were a carpet. It also has more beautiful flowers full of color that sprout an incredible aroma in the environment.

Gloria es una persona que le encantan las plantas, las cuida como si fueran sus hijas, siempre les canta, les abona y les riega con cariño y no por obligación. Cada año por el mes de mayo podemos ir a su casa y ver las hermosas orquídeas floreadas, es todo un espectáculo, pero esta vez las flores estaban por todos lados, la planta se rego por el suelo y asi mismo florecio como si fuera una alfombra. Además tiene mas flores bellas llenas de color que brotan un aroma increíble en el ambiente.

I like to see my town, breathe its air and remember the many adventures that I lived for years. I like that my children know a part of me and enjoy this beautiful thing that life gave us.

Me gusta ver mi pueblo, respirar su aire y recordar las muchas aventuras que durante años vivi. Me gusta que mis hijos conozcan una parte de mi y disfruten de esto tan hermoso que la vida nos dio.

Today I want to close with the same sentence I started with: Movement is life! How right it is; If we are able to go out, train and at the same time have fun, then we can have thousands of possibilities to continue being physically active and grow old with good health, closing the doors to so many diseases and opening the doors to wonderful days full of LIFE.

Hoy quiero cerrar con la misma frase que inicie: ¡El movimiento es vida! Cuanta razón tiene; Si somos capaces de salir, entrenar y que a la misma vez nos divertimos, entonces podemos tener miles de posibilidades de continuar siendo físicamente activos y envejecer con buena salud, cerarndole las puertas a tantas enfermedades y abriéndole las puertas a días maravillosos llenos de VIDA.
