Hive Open Mic Week 143 "Esperanza" (Hope) Cover By @carmenrivas

"no te vayas nunca
No me dejes, por favor"

Hello, my dear Hive Open Mic community, after being away for a while, partly for reasons of lack of health (I became dysphonic as a result of a virus) and then due to the weather, typical of the December season, I am back here, wishing that everyone has spent a healthy Christmas and New Year festivities and in the midst of joy and family unity. My best wishes to all in this new year.

Week 143 and a very beautiful theme: "Voice of Hope" proposed by our Spotlight Artist @magicfingerz. Here I bring you the song "Esperanza" (Hope) that was popularized in 1998 by the Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias (Julio Iglesias' son).

.This is an interesting song since its lyrics lend themselves to a double reading: The first takes us to a story in which a repentant gentleman arrives to apologize to a lady named Esperanza (Hope). The second reading is if we see "Hope", a woman, as a symbol of hope itself. That hope that we fail when instead of letting ourselves be inspired by it we let ourselves be carried away by pessimism. But the time has come to react, to realize that through pessimism we only remain immobile or go backwards while, through hope, we can maintain a sustained effort in pursuing our dreams and that is what will lead us to achieve them.

So, when we value hope and see that we have lost it, that we have disappointed it, we come to say, like the song

"never leave
Please don't leave me"
