Hello, greetings to my Hive friends and this wonderful community. I am happy to be here and share with you.
Today I want to talk a little bit about some medicinal plants that my mother-in-law often uses for her health, but in addition I want to show you the small plot of land where she usually grows her medicinal plants. What I especially like is that she doesn't limit herself to just planting her plants, as is sometimes done, but also takes the opportunity to plant peppers, chives or hot peppers that she then uses in her dishes.
I admire my mother-in-law a lot because she is a person who loves to plant and has her plants. Whenever she can she tells me that it is necessary to have some medicinal plants at home because you never know when you will need them, so she takes great care of her vegetable garden, always removing weeds and anything that can harm them.
I invite you to join me and get to know some of them and what they are recommended for. I don't know much about plants, but thanks to my mother-in-law I got to know some of them and especially what they are good for, because I had to prepare infusions, both for me and for my children. I want to mention that I am not a good tea drinker, sometimes I am a little slow because my mother did not accustom us to drink tea very often. But when it's my turn, I have to, for my health and also because I have children, and if they see that I don't pass them the tea when it's their turn, they won't, so I better drink it to avoid that and for the health of my children.
First, let me tell you something about the plant you see here. This plant is known as basil. Honestly, I only recently learned how to identify it and what it is used for. A few months ago, one of my children, the youngest of four, came down with an allergy, and at the time, to be honest, we didn't have the money to buy medicine. So my mother-in-law brought me some sprigs of this plant, gave me instructions on how to prepare it, and so it was; I did what she told me, and little by little my son got better.
My mother-in-law's instructions were to inhale at least twice a day and give him some. From there, I have to tell you that when my kids get sick, I look for these plants and give them to them, which are very good.
The other plant is very well known and can not miss at home, it is very good to prevent flu and colds, it is known as malojillo.
There is also lemon balm which is very good against the flu. Usually when I prepare it myself or my mother-in-law, we mix them: malojillo and lemon balm and make a tea.
Notice this. It's known as spearmint. This little plant is very good but also delicate, its leaves are very fragile but with a very pleasant smell, there it grows little by little.
I was happy to share a little bit of everything with you, it really is a small space but with plants and plants that are very useful and necessary.
Here I am watering the plants with water.
That was all folks, hope you liked it.
